Cubs drop match to Cerritos College

The Los Angeles City Cubs traveled to #2 nationally ranked Cerritos College. The Cubs would come out with great pressure and have early opportunities to get on the scoreboard, including a shot by Jose Castaneda that would hit the cross bar and Cerritos would save to prevent the first goal. As the Cubs attacked they were able to lose a counter battle and the Cerritos Falcons would go on to the score the 1^st goal of the game. The game was very tight and both teams produced attacks on each other's defense but the score would stay 1-0 in favor of the Falcons in the first half. 

 The second half saw the Cubs amp up their attack and pressure and would lead to several opportunities for LACC, but the Cerritos Falcons would hold down the attack and keep the game 1-0. With 15 minutes left sophomore Felipe Alvarez crossed a ball in the Falcons 18 yard box  for a great scoring chance, but the Falcons would build a counter attack on the play and score their 2^nd goal of the game to secure the victory. The Cubs now host Compton College, and hope to bounce back after falling 3-3 in conference play and 11-5-1 in the season.
