Cubs win a hard fought match at ELAC

The Los Angeles City College Men's Soccer team obtained a 2nd victory in conference after traveling to East Los Angeles College for their 3rd conference game. LACC would get off to a good start as their press and constant attack was strong. After missing some clear opportunities the score would remain 0-0 and ELAC would gain some momentum with a spurt in their attack. The game had a lot of energy but the first half would end scoreless as both defenses would hustle to keep the score even.

The second half would not disappoint as both teams were hungry to go up in the scoreboard and the games tempo and intensity would not drop foreshadowing a goal for either side. LACC having most of the attack would score behind Sophomore Brayan Cordova who would put a beautiful game winning goal after finding a rebound in the box that Axel Miranda had crossed. With 15 minutes left in the game, the Cubs would go on to have more opportunities and would also hold on to their 9th shutout of the season to clinch their 2nd win in conference and 10th win overall. The Cubs improve to a record of 10-3-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play, they will now host visiting Rio Hondo College on 10/14 at 7pm.
